Well this has to bring a few smiles..... a news article about the state of the roads in Britain! It seems those invading Romans didn't know it all, after all!!!
Yes they who introduced so many improvements into Britannia, including irrigation, better farming, spa bathing, established so many great towns and cities such as
Chester,
Bath,
Canterbury,
Buxton,
Gloucester,
Lincoln,
Manchester,
York..... settled
Londinium, the origins of today's great City of London...

...well it seems they failed to plan ahead!
The potholes are all their fault! In the roads I mean... apparently, they didn't lay strong enough foundations...
So.... like.... 2,000 years ago, they didn't consider that Kent County Council might be struggling to maintain their work today.
Well... its either their poor workmanship, or it's the French....
